Pop in for Ted’s tour

Artist Ted Coney will be opening his home to the public for a third season this year.

From Sunday, visitors will be able to see a whole host of Mr Coney’s paintings, which have been created over the past 40 years.

Mr Coney, who used to be head of art at Hills Road Sixth-Form College in Cambridge, is billing it as the “first” pop-up gallery to be held in the city.

Tours of the gallery will be held as usual, at his 100-year old cottage in Waterside, Ely, which he shares with wife, Hazel.

He said: “It’s a pop-up gallery because when all the signs are down, it reverts back to being a private house.”
