Out Of Focus Feel

I think I’ve finished the first stage of my current painting ‘Old Wives Tales’ (see latest Facebook and Instagram posts). I’ve been using oil bars and shapers to try to create a rough, out of focus feel. I want this to be in contrast for what is to come.

The shapers of various sizes are made of  wedges of rubber and were excellent for moving the paint around.

Next week its back to 00 brushes for the final stages.
