In The Folder

For over two years now, I’ve been putting things in a card folder that I feel could be useful to me developing ideas for my latest painting ‘Forged In Life’. I’m doing the same for the next two paintings as is my practise.

These artist and cultural references could come from anywhere, torn from magazines, postcards from exhibitions  or photocopied from books. Sometimes its just a vague idea that I have and sometimes they  just solves a problem that I’ve been pondering over for a long time.

I’ve just stuck up the latest batch in the studio and you can see them on my latest Instagram, Facebook and  Bluesky posts. Will I use them? We’ll see over the coming months.
