Foreword!

For the second edition of the book ‘Joy Laurey – The Girl That Pulls The Strings’ I was asked by author Stuart Woodhead to write the Foreword.

I was delighted to do this as I had been in contact with Joy Laurey for about fifteen years from 1987 when I had started researching for a painting I was doing  entitled ‘Diamonds’ and she had been particularly helpful. She even came to our house, bringing her famous puppet, Mr Turnip, to unveil the picture, much to the delight of our children.

I was slightly puzzled when my introduction to the book failed to appear! I assumed that as I was mentioned several times, Stuart had decided that this was enough about me.

A few days later, I got an urgent Email from Stuart, who was full of apologises. It seems that the publishers had missed it out by mistake. I now have a copy with the Foreword restored.
