Experiments In Progress

Currently, I’m working on nine small preliminary canvases to plan how I’m going to paint my current work, ‘Time Frames’. I’m still playing with a squeegee to get a feeling of movement in the background and I’ve learnt that I need to do one colour at a time and let it dry before attempting the next one. I’ve also been experimenting with a wire brush and a shaper to try and get the effect I want.

I’m also just beginning to work on the gold frame  which is an integral part of the image so will be painted on the flat canvas. You can see my efforts so far on my latest Facebook and Instagram posts.
