We’ve just had our annual family weekend in Sheringham. This year it was with 31 members of the Coney family and we have been going to the same house for over forty years. Ofcourse we don’t all stay in the same cottage but everyone seems to gather there as we are so near the sea.

In about 1970 it was the location for one of a  series of T.V. plays called ‘Tales of the Unexpected’. Do you remember them? In our episode a young woman was strangled on the SAME carpet which is still there! Nothing has changed since we started visiting.

It’s given me some ideas for a family painting I hope to do eventually. This year I took some photos of the house (including the carpet) to aid my research.
