Pure Linen

I’ve just bought two beautiful linen panels to start work on my current painting ‘Forged In Life’. They are so beautiful that it seems a pity to do anything to them!

I’ve been staining them with a soft cloth, one orange and the other pink. This base colour will help me to key all the other tones to the panel, so they are not too stridant.

I am painting two portraits – one of me and the other my brother, David. However, the important message will be to show what effects our lives have had on climate change.
