Enjoy a tour around artist Ted’s home

A doomed love affair is the inspiration behind Ely artist Ted Coney’s latest painting.

The painting, called ‘The Rashomon Effect’, is about a love affair from over 100 years ago, and its subsequent effect on his family.

Ted runs Ted Coney’s Family Portraits from his home in Ely’s Waterside and has been opening it to visitors for the past six seasons.

All his paintings take the theme of family life and relationships. Ted said: “It is always interesting to hear when people remark that similar events have happened to their families.”

Bookings are now being taken for the last four tours, which enable people to view Ted’s painting and see his working studio, on Sundays, November 23 and 30, and December 7 and 14.
