Ely Artists Open Their Studio Doors This July As Cambridge Open Studios Returns

Artists and makers from Ely and the surrounding villages will be among the more than 300 participants taking part in the Cambridge Open Studios this July, opening their studios and creative spaces to visitors across four weekends. The much -loved annual arts event invites visitors behind the scenes of pone of the UK’s longest running artist-left open studios events, offering rare access to art where it is made and the opportunity to meet artist in their working environments.

Participating studios can be found across Ely, Littleport, Soham, Fordham and the surrounding villages, offering visitors the opportunity to explore the area’s rich creative spaces. Visitors will be welcomed into working studios to meet artists, discover the inspiration behind their work and gain a unique insight into the creative process.

Today, Cambridge Open Studios brings together a thriving membership of almost 500 artists and makers.

Alongside established artists, Cambridge open Studios continues its commitment to supporting emerging talent and widening  access to the arts. This year sees the continuation of COS’s partnership work supporting young creatives through the Fitzwilliam Museum Young Artists initiative.

The partnership reflects CO’s wide commitment to nurturing creativity at every stage, from early artistic development through to professional studio practice.

Thousands of visitors are expected to attend across the four weekends, exploring art trails through towns and villages across the region.
