Bloomin’ Brilliant

When staying with family in Sussex over the summer, we visited the Ditchling Museum of Arts and Crafts to see the exhibition ‘Bloomin’ Brilliant – the Art of Raymond Briggs’.

Raymond Briggs was the illustrator and author of ‘The Snowman’ , ‘Father Christmas goes on Holiday’ and many other wonderful books. You get to see all the original drawings accompanied by his written notes and experiments.

As Briggs had spent much of his working life living in Ditchling it seemed fitting that the last leg of his exhibition should be shown there. Infact, the curators had been able to borrow the contents of his studio specially for this part of the tour, making the show even more interesting.

It’s just been announced that its run has just been extended until Christmas, so do visit if you can
