Studio Envy
One New Year treat this year was to visit the Watts Gallery again. This time we concentrated on looking at his Painting and Sculpture studios. Both were very spacious and I must say I felt rather envious!
One of the paintings that G.F. Watts was working on was very big. He had a contraption built so the canvas could pass through a gap in the floor, to enable him to paint the top of the picture. I’d seen a similar thing in Monet’s studio in Giverny, many years ago.
I’m now back to working in my tiny studio. At least I can warm it up very quickly.
