Outside The Frame

I’ve been thinking alot about frames recently while I continue to work on my latest painting, ‘Time Frames’.

Therefore, I was interested in a work entitled ‘Looking Back’ by Sahara Longe,  when we were visiting the Arnolfini Gallery in Bristol last week. You can see the painting on my latest post on Facebook, Instagram and Bluesky.

As well as musing over the influences of Munch and Gauguin both in style and content on the picture, I was also interested in the idea that part of the image was outside a painted. picture frame.
