Only A Number

My second Open Studio weekend starts tomorrow.

I was amused last week when one couple came forward after I’d finished speaking, to congratulate me on looking so good at 95. I had to explain that it was my Morris Minor that is 95 years old this year, not me!

When visitors arrive they are met by  the car.  I then proceed to talk about one of my family paintings which includes the said vehicle.

I hope it helps to understand why I use objects in the work rather than people.
