Oh Yes It Is

In 1954 I saw a live show with Sooty and Harry Corbett in Hull where we lived. I was about eight at the time. In the 1990s I took our youngest son to see Sooty at the Alhambra Theatre in Bradford and last week we took his son to see Sooty in a pantomime in Bristol.

I’ve featured Sooty twice in my family paintings over the years – namely in ‘Duet’ (1991) and ‘Offrenda’ (1997).
