Just A Sketch

While I’m waiting for bits of my current painting ‘ Time Frames’ to dry, I keep doing experiments in preparation for my next work entitled ‘Forged In Life’

Last week I did an oil sketch (on watercolour paper) of one of my brother’s car engines – working from one of the photographs I’d taken.

Eventually the engine will be distorted by the effects of climate change in the painting, but for now I just wanted to get to know the image. I do this best by drawing it. You can see my sketch on my latest Facebook, Instagram and Blue sky posts
