Artist Ted gears up for 5th season

An Ely artist has opened his home-based art gallery for its fifth season.

One of the paintings Ted Coney, who runs Ted Coney’s Family Portraits from his home in Waterside, will be showing visitors throughout the summer is ‘Mingleheads’.

Ted, who lives with his wife, Hazel, said: “Although the painting seems abstract, in fact the shapes in it are derived from pieces of land which became significant to my daughter and son-in-law when the two families were joined in marriage.”

Ted hosts tours around his home throughout the summer season and all of his paintings take the theme of ‘family life’. He said: “Although none of my paintings are for sale, visitors can now buy prints of some of them.”
