And Beach Cricket

We’ve recently been to Mudeford, near Christchurch with the family to celebrate our son’s 40th birthday. On Avon beach I tried to do a little watercolour of the sea breaking over the sand but it was cold and windy and not easy to do. As I’m trying to paint the rising seas in my latest family painting ‘Forged In Life’ I thought this was a good opportunity to observe the ocean, first hand.

After about half an hour I gave up and joined the rest of the family for beach cricket to keep warm.
