Ted opens living room to publicHaverhill EchoJuly 1989
Artist Ted Coney will be opening his living room to the public again this weekend as part of the Open Studios project to celebrate the Cambridge Festival.
Ted's 'studio' is at his home at 22 Woollards Lane, Great Shelford, and all his pictures are connected with his family - his wife Hazel, daughter Yve (13) and son Leo (9). One of his exhibits, named Calendar 1980, the first year of Leo's life, consists of 12 panels, each showing his family standing on the same spot on the recreation ground at 3pm on the first Sunday of each month during that year.
Ted's is one of 44 studios which have been opened for two weekends during festival and his exhibition can be seen between 11am and 6pm on Saturday and Sunday.
Ted teaches art at Hills Road Sixth Form College in Cambridge and is seen here with Leo, preparing the 12 panels of Calendar 1980 for display.
